open dayOpen Day - An exhibition of Four Decades at the Community Centre

The Open Day to celebrate the 40th year of the Centre’s existence is scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 24th October 2021 commencing at 2:00 pm. The focus will be an exhibition of memorabilia of the last 4 decades at the Centre. There will be a display of archive photographs of many activities and key events that have shaped the community’s village hall. There will be refreshments on hand and an opportunity to meet with friends and neighbours old and new and share memories of times at the Centre. We are looking for photos for a display gallery, items of interest, “scrap book” cuttings, posters, menus, small objects and stories to tell about the life of the Centre. As well as the people, of particular interest are images illustrating the construction and development of the premises. If anyone would be willing to loan items for the day, please contact Margaret Mullins on 01260 227678, e-mail or David Goodfellow on 01260 226361, e-mail . The gallery should be set up in the morning and the hall will be open from 12:00 noon for people to bring items of general interest to share for the day.
